Nearly 20 years have passed since the first season of "Star Born," so Shai Gibso entered our lives. Since then he has managed to take over the radio stations, win the singer of the year title, get married and get divorced, repent and quit, go out with a man, conquer the stages and play TV series, all while continuing to create music. One of his five albums was also written in English and also directed abroad.

On Tuesday, Gibso released a new song called "Trail Without a Name," which he wrote and composed. "The song talks about the fact that there is always a certain thing that leads you," he explains. "Even if you don't really see it, it's there. The music represents this path for me."

Sounds like faith.

"Religion will always remain a part of me," shares his plaster. "I believe in a Creator, but God has no name. He is very great."

Religious / religious music is experiencing a major rash. Seeing yourself "returning to sources" and creating in this area?

"I don't see myself doing religious music right now, but yes spiritual music. Leonard Cohen or Sia for me is spiritual music.

"In terms of personal taste, I am less drawn to songs in this specific style that leave no room for imagination. I love the riddle, the hiding place. Hanan Ben Ari makes it amazing."

Gal Uhovsky recently criticized religious music and what it calls "religion" on the radio. What do you think about this?

"I get what Gal wrote, but at the same time our artist role is simple to do. I'm not sure you can learn from such criticism how to actually change something in the work."

The song is accompanied by a clip taken in the desert (Photo: Ram Shwiki, Clips Productions), but Gibso chose to launch the single in winter. "As the rain falls, I shut myself in and become more collected. I know it sounds cliché, but the most beautiful songs come out in winter."

About two years ago, you tried your luck in English and wanted to break abroad. What happened to that?

"I tried my luck ... (laughs), this is one of my biggest dreams. Five of the 100 influential blogs in the world have reviewed the album and given it incredible reviews. It was her face from World Warner. "Today, in the age of the Internet, I believe in recording and getting out into the world and that is what I do, less to go abroad at the moment."
