Food poisoning, sometimes called gastric indigestion, is a common condition that we all know too well. Such indigestion usually includes nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, or both. Food poisoning is caused by eating foods containing bacteria, viruses or parasites. Just last week we talked about the winter vomiting virus, but it is not the only one that can cause you to become infected. The most common bacteria that cause food poisoning are salmonella and ultrasound. We asked Walla Health doctor Dr. Idan Goren how to detect food poisoning, how to prevent it, and what to do if it has already happened.
