(ANSA) - VENICE, DECEMBER 23 - The high water in Venice touched i144 centimeters above sea level at 9.40 am. The town's tidal center makes it known on the basis of the surveys of the various power stations located in the city, in particular of Punta della Dogan, in front of San Marco, and the port inlets. It is an exceptional area that has covered the soil of the lagoon city for 60%. The forecasts had announced a possible altitude of 150 centimeters but the wind conditions in the Adriatic reduced the thrust of the water towards the city.
