(ANSSA) - ROME, JANUARY 3 - Ethical veganism is in all respects comparable to a religion or a philosophical creed, and its followers therefore cannot be subject to discrimination on its basis, based on the Equality Act of 2010: this is what it has established a British Labor Court, which has ruled on a case that will make jurisprudence.
The case, much awaited by the media as well as by various associations, was raised at the appeal of Jordi Casamitjana, an employee of the League Against Cruel Sports, a charitable organization that defends animals and against sports such as fox, hare and deer hunting, which he fired for objecting that the association's pension fund was investing in companies involved in animal testing. In his opinion, this unification was dictated by his philosophical belief in 'ethical veganism'.
