He tries to steal cars with children, arrested

(ANSA) - UDINE, JAN 03 - A 43-year-old man, residing in Ancona, was arrested by the police after attempting to steal a car with two sleeping children on board. It was one of the minors, a 13-year-old boy, who foiled the theft, removing the keys from the dashboard and unlocking the doors.
The episode occurred around 1.15, when a family of Bulgarian citizens, residing in Italy and returning from their country of origin, stopped in front of a hotel in the center of Udine. The parents got out to ask the concierge for the availability of a room, leaving the vehicle in front of the hotel and on board the two children, a 4-year-old girl and a boy of 13. The spouses realized that the vehicle had restarted at high speed along the a few tens of meters before stopping its run. Waking up to the hustle and bustle, the boy sitting in the back seat managed to extract the key and open the doors. The man was arrested by officers of the Steering Wheels who arrived on the scene.
