The drone used by the United States to carry out the deadly attack on the Iranian general Qassem Soleimani is the MQ-9 Reaper, originally known as Predator B. This was revealed by numerous international media, including Radio Free Europe, a radio station founded by the United States Congress and present in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
According to reports from the specialized site "Avionews", the remotely controlled unmanned aircraft (originally known as "Predator B") of the United States Air Force is one of the first hunter-killer UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) designed for surveillance at long range, and at high altitudes. The drone allegedly fired four missiles at two cars that were carrying Niru-ye Qods chief and other senior officials near Baghdad airport this morning. The explosion was so violent that Soleimani's identification would have been possible only by the large ring he used to wear on his finger. According to other sources, the raid was jointly conducted by the MQ-9, another drone - the MQ-1C Gray Eagle - and an American Army AH-64E Guardian attack helicopter.
