For years he has been half of the successful "Audi and Aviad" duo that your children are probably familiar with, but beyond that, Udi Gottschalk staged shows and shows. He is now directing an adult play, an Israeli adaptation of a French comedy called TOC TOC.

The show, which first aired in France in 2005, tells the story of six obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) characters who meet in the waiting room of a famous psychiatrist. The psychiatrist arrives and each of the characters has a difficult time waiting. The play features Itzik Cohen, Dana Samo, Guy Lowell, Yafit Assulin Yuval Segal, Dikla Hadar and Michal Sweet. She will premiere on February 3 at Mazkeret Batya and run across the country.

"It's a show that wanted a very big success in the world," says Gottlesk, 44. "She puts a very special spot on people who experience troublesome obsessive-compulsive disorder. They have some sort of destiny, and slowly they know and connect and happen. They go through a process. It's a crazy comedy. Not only is it very successful in the world.

This is your first time directing an adult play alone.

"In the last Chanukah I played in the play" Bilby. "I also play in the play" The Dodger "together, I wrote and directed a musical entertainment show called" The Herzlim ", I wrote and directed with Aviad, Vered Feldman, and Tal Levi the" Tsiki's Garden ", but you can say "This is the first time I've taken command of a repertory play and staged a show that requires me to use all my experience and skills as an actor, director, and comedian. I have to steer the ship to a place that is at its core and the drama comes out laughing. This time it is a show and not an entertainment show."

Not many artists manage to create such a mix between the children's world and the adult world. Usually get stuck in a specific niche.

"I have been in the field for 20 years. In my first ten years I only dealt with the world of adults, both on television and on stage. Aviad and I wrote an adult entertainment show, we performed together, at the American Zionists at Camel Comedy Club. That's my foundation. The characters of Gore and Oh in the children's world. The series was very successful and suddenly we made an article that we were child stars. We discovered it through the media. "In practice, we just did what we love. When we realized we were being allowed to do it in the children's world - it drew us in, and then came television shows, Chanukah productions, festivals. That's how we came out for ten years in the children's world, but our humor has not changed. "

According to Gottschalk, he really loves directing. "I haven't learned directing, and the truth doesn't play, I've evolved over the years into it. I'm a director with a very clear comedic agenda, which is that I'm also an actor - helping me. I know what the hardships of actors are and create a pleasant and accepting atmosphere at work. The magic. I admit that in this show I would like to play too, but I'm happy with the cast. "
