The Colombian actor Daniel Rengifo , just 26 years old, lost his life last Sunday, January 5, during a surgery he underwent in order to eat food, according to the newspaper El Tiempo de Colombia.
Recognized for participating in various series of Caracol Televisión as "La Gloria de Lucho", "Esmeraldas", "Tu Voz Estéreo" and "Los tres Caínes", the actor was considered a young promise of his country.

During an interview in a Colombian program, the actor said that in 2014 he was detected a brain tumor and that he realized that during the recording of a program he began to twist his eyes involuntarily and had severe headaches. After studies, he was informed that he had a tumor of seven centimeters.
After receiving treatment that included surgery, radiotherapies and chemotherapies, the actor noticed a huge improvement in his health and seemed to have overcome the disease. But in 2016, the headaches returned and doctors confirmed that the tumor had returned.

In 2018 his health suffered from severe complications and after passing through the operating room, he lost vision in his right eye and with his left eye he looked very blurry.

In that same publication, Daniel showed that he was very optimistic, "With a disease the world does not end. If I have been able, anyone can, because we are all equal and, if we cling to God, everything is possible."
