A four-year-old girl died after a traffic accident. As reported by the Central Franconian police, the child died in the hospital from serious injuries.
The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, a VW transporter got on the opposite lane on the B2 in the Roth district near the town of Wernsbach. He crashed head-on into a Renault with five occupants.
The 35-year-old driver died on the spot, her three children and her husband were seriously injured in the hospital. A nine-year-old girl and her 12-year-old brother died on Monday night.
Condition is "critical"
The condition of the man is stable, but must still be classified as "critical", the report said. The 19-year-old who caused the accident and his 17-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries, according to the police.
Why the VW got into the oncoming lane is still unclear. The public prosecutor is investigating and is supported by an expert.
