A group of Ilva workers in a state of social welfare and members of the USB occupied the road link between the ArcelorMittal iron and steel plant and the Eni refinery, near the heavy vehicle passage, blocking access to the gates. They complain about the non-refinancing of the wage supplement for over two thousand unemployed. They occupied the roadway with some cars. There are also police patrols on site. These are the 1,600 workers left at Ilva in extraordinary administration and currently in extraordinary layoffs and ArcelorMittal workers in ordinary layoffs (for a maximum of 1,273 workers the Cigo was extended on December 30th for 13 weeks). Workers have access to small fires on the road to warm up. Some tankers are stationary and awaiting instructions. The USB base union requests the refinancing of the 10% wage supplement for the cassintegrati and the opening of a discussion table on the Taranto Decree.
