Count, space and science are strategic

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 10 - Space and scientific research are strategic sectors for Italy, on which the government intends to continue to focus: said the President of the Council, Giuseppe Conte, in connection with the astronaut Luca Parmitano, from the European Space Agency (ESA), on the edge of the Space Station. "We are working hard," said Conte. "Space - he continued - is a strategic sector because participating from the point of view of technology allows us to develop a growing awareness of our planet". The premier was greeted by Parmitano with a "welcome aboard the International Space Station!".
"I'm excited," said Conte. "The Space Station - he added - is an outpost humanity in space and the greatest engineering work made by man". At the interview, the undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council Riccardo Fraccaro, the director general of ESA Jan Woerner, and the president of the Italian Space Agency Giorgio Saccoccia.
