At least 24 victims, millions of animals killed and millions of hectares of forest burned. The fires that have ravaged Australia for over three months mobilize firefighters, authorities and environmental associations on a daily basis.
In response to the tragedy, France offered "immediate operational assistance to fight fires, protect the population and preserve biodiversity," Emmanuel Macron announced last week.
Many celebrities, like Leonardo DiCaprio or Elton John, have decided to donate up to $ 3 million to local associations. For French people who feel affected by the tragedy, several possibilities for donations exist.
Donations for firefighters
Many online platforms helping firefighters currently only accept donations from Australia. Volunteer firefighters in New South Wales can, however, receive international donations via this page.
A prize pool launched by the Australian actress Celeste Barber also allows donations to be made for these same firefighters, via Facebook. This collection has already collected nearly 31 million euros on Friday.
Please help anyway you can. This is terrifying. We need your help.

Donations for animals
Hundreds of millions of animals have been killed since September in Australia, and environmental associations are working hard to protect many endangered species. Among them, the organization Wires, which rescues animals, collects donations on this page, via PayPal, or on Facebook. Thanks to the social network, the association has raised more than 8 million euros.
Want to adopt a koala? This is possible with the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, via this page. Please note: this does not mean that you will have to welcome a new pet into your home. Adopting a koala makes it possible to finance its care and, more generally, contributes to the functioning of the body, for a few tens of Australian dollars per year.
