It starts immediately with several issues to be resolved in the 2020 agricultural policy year, both on the national and foreign front. On the comparison table, the renewal of the negotiation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for the 2021-2027 programming in a context in which "boulders" such as US duties, Brexit and food labeling will have to be addressed, among the first rocks main dossiers.

In the meantime, the EU directive has entered into force, which changes the rules on the IMO, (International Maritime Organization), to reduce maritime pollution with feared additional costs for fruit and vegetable exports. And the Climate decree will apply, with the "Save sea" law, the first step towards the "green new deal".

By January, the Minister of Agricultural Policies announced the setting up of the Wine Control Room at the Mipaaf. A sector that looks forward to January 13 when the consultation launched by the US Department of Commerce will end with the feared launch of a new list of products subject to duties by the US administration. On the other hand, the approval of the Brexit agreement is expected for 31 January, with a subsequent transition phase that will open the basis for future trade relations between Great Britain and the EU. Another hot front for the agri-food sector is that of food labeling with two proposals: the French one with the "traffic light label" with a red dot for foods that are too fatty, sugary or salty or the Italian "battery operated" which assesses the single product within the diet according to the quantities consumed. On the domestic front, work for the Agricultural Link and Agriculture 4.0. Still as open, as the agricultural organizations Copagri and Cia Italian farmers point out, issues such as measures to combat the hiring of hired workers, administrative simplification, the stabilization of young people in agriculture and the ecological transition, linked in large part to expensive diesel and the scrapping of agricultural vehicles.
