(ANSA) - GENOA, JANUARY 13 - The Finance Police of La Spezia with colleagues from Genoa and the staff of the Customs Agency seized 333 kg of pure cocaine from Brazil. The drug arrived in La Spezia hidden among some granite slabs transported in a container to the port: hence the Gdf followed its journey to Massa Carrara.
The operation, called Samba 2020, was born after the La Guardiadi Finanza of La Spezia, having carried out the risk analysis on the goods sent from 'sensitive' countries, underwent an uncontanier control coming from Brazil landed in port in La Spezia which contained granite slabs. A space was created between the slabs where 300 coke sticks were found for a total of over 333 kg of cocaine for a value on the market of about 100 million. The cargo was closed and followed by financiers to a warehouse in Massa Carrara where an Italian, a Croatian, an Albanian and a Brazilian were arrested, accused of international drug trafficking.
