Pete Salgado , who served as manager of the late singer Jenni Rivera for many years, died on Sunday, January 12, until now the causes of this death have been revealed.
Although Salgado was a friend of the interpreter, after Jenni's death he had some differences with the Rivera family, which even led to legal problems.
Despite this, Johnny Rivera , son of the late interpreter and brother of Chiquis , expressed respect for this unfortunate news.
"Despite the disagreements we had with him, Pete Salgado was part of our lives and my mom really loved him when he was here. With that said, his wife and children are in the thoughts of my family. I hope now I can talk to my mom, "Johnny wrote on Twitter.
The differences between Pete and the Rivera family began when Salgado released an unauthorized biography about Jenni, entitled "His name was Dolores."
The former manager sold that biography to a television network to make a television series. Since then the conflict was escalating in intensity.
For its part, journalist Ninette Rios also confirmed the news through her social networks.
"Friend, we are going to miss you. My deepest condolences to all your family and may God give you all the strength to move forward," he published.
In turn, Gabriel Vázquez , co-author of Jenni's biography, dedicated a few words on his Instagram account.
"With deep pain I just learned that my friend and partner @petesalgado stopped beating his heart. Friend and companion of many battles," he wrote.
It should be noted that Pete's last publication on social networks was two days ago, where he presumed the arrival of the MS Band to California, so in that post the friends and family of the former manager said goodbye to him exterminating his sadness for his sudden departure from this world.
Pete was Jenni Rivera's manager for a decade, until the death of the interpreter, in December 2012.
Later the friendship with the family of the singer continued, until the problems began when he wrote a book with details of the life of the artist, which served as the basis for the creation of a series.
However, in June 2017, Salgado offered an interview to the Mexican newspaper El Debate , where he confessed that several scenes of the series were exaggerated and were not even described in his book.
"I wanted the series to be a tribute, but as it was, I don't think it is so much. Revealing her true life, that the public knew her, about her career, is a great story, but in the series they put a lot of things that the book does not say, just look for the scandal. As the series came out I do not agree, things did not happen like this. I invite you to read the book so that you know the truth, "he said at the time.
