(ANSA) - TURIN, JANUARY 14 - Prolonged use of the mobile phone can cause head tumors. This was confirmed by the Corted'Appello of Turin which, today, confirmed the first instance ruling of the Court of Ivrea, issued in 2017, on the case raised by a Telecom Italia employee affected by aural nerve neuroma. The pronouncement reopens the debate, last summer a report edited by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Arpa Piemonte, Enea and Cnr-Irea did not confirm the increase in neoplasms related to the use of mobile phones. The sentence condemns INAIL to pay a life annuity from an occupational disease to an employee of Telecom Italia, Roberto Romeo, suffering from neurinoma of the acoustic nerve. For hygienists there is a connection with the frequent use of the telephone made by the worker, even 4 or 5 hours a day.
