The last day of the first leg of Serie A marked the record of attendance at the stadium for this season with 311,740 spectators, which is also the best result at the halfway point of the championship in the last 15 years.
From the data released by the Lega serie A, it emerges that the matches of the last round were followed by 31.174 media spectators, improving the 29.289 recorded in the 16 / a day.
Inter-Atalanta was the most watched match (70,042 at San Siro), ahead of Roma-Juventus which brought 60,513 fans to the Olimpico.
The average race thus rose to 26,952 spectators (more than 5 million the total after the dispute of the first 19 days, a figure destined to increase with the recovery between Lazio and Verona). With reference to the end of the first half of the last two seasons, there was a + 7% compared to last year (average of 25,172) and a + 26% compared to two years ago (21,415). Maintaining the current trend would close the 2019/2020 Serie A with more than ten million total spectators, a goal that has not been exceeded for 29 years (10,466,645 in the 1991/1992 season).
