Leah Goldberg is the kind of person who tries to put their work into what lines are doomed to failure. Perhaps it is her glory, the lack of ability to say she was and such, to enumerate all her publications and all her achievements, without sinning to who she was, which is greater than all her actions.

And here, fifty years after she went, her name goes to the lips of every child, teenager and adult who loves Hebrew literature, bookshelves in almost every home boast her works, and her figure is still associated with human love, brilliance and charm, and a longing for the aroma of something from time to time.

Reading Goldberg's books today is like entering the tunnel of time that takes us to another era, and for a moment or two we forget about our daily lives. But it is not just a nostalgic read, and Goldberg's works go far beyond reading longing - they have emotion and heart wisdom.

Goldberg's work in the literary arena was extensive and broad. Along with writing for children - the books "Apartment for Rent", "Aya Pluto", "Scattered from Kfar Azar", "My Friends from Arnon Street", "Miracles and Wonders" and more, and the poems "Poison Likinton", "Magic Hat", "What the Moose Do "And many others, she also wrote a novel -" And he is the light, "the" Palace-owner "Mufti play, adult songs and essays, and published translations and texts in her editing.

Goldberg also wrote literary reviews, participated in the editorial paper "Talking to the Children," served as editor of the children's books department at the "Workers' Library", taught literature in the academy and was a professor of comparative literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Goldberg's work was and still is the subject of many academic studies and articles.

In 1970, after her death, she received the prestigious and prestigious Israel Prize. And yet, every state and official award, however dignified, dwarfs the most significant award for a prolific filmmaker who devotes his life to writing - an enchanted audience, whose number grows from time to time and gathers more and more fans, curious eyes for another story and more poem Among bookshelves and essays, you get to know the characters that Goldberg is so good at sketching in her words.

Today we mark fifty years of walking, but in fact never went away, and it seems that its place in the eternal life of Hebrew literature and culture is guaranteed. Still with us, along with Pluto, the elk, the rabbit, the cuckoo and the dove.
