In the Philippines 124,000 children have been forced to leave their homes in the six municipalities completely abandoned due to the eruption of the Taal volcano. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 16 - 124,000 children in the Philippines have been forced to leave their homes in the six Comunicompletely abandoned due to the eruption of the Taal volcano. Save The Children reports that it is setting up child-friendly spaces, where they will be able to learn, play and receive support to overcome the trauma, and distribute essential supplies to displaced children and their families.

In the first two days alone, more than 20,000 children had been forced to leave the "dangerous area" of 14 km around the volcano.
