Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj could desert the Berlin conference the day after tomorrow and send only a delegation from Tripoli. This was reported in a tweet Libya al-Ahrar, a TV based in Doha, Qatar, citing "Presidential Council special sources" according to which "the Prime Minister, Fayez al-Sarraj, may not go to Berlin and send only one Government delegation of "national agreement".
General Khalifa Haftar "is not a reliable man. He continued bombing Tripoli yesterday" despite the truce. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, two days after the Berlin conference on Libya.
Meanwhile Haftar has written a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin in which he calls the Kremlin leader "my dear friend", thanks him for Russia's "efforts" for peace, and says he is ready to return to Russia to continue discussing a peaceful solution to the conflict in Libya. The Kremlin reported it, quoted by Russian agencies.
Turkey's announcement about sending troops to Libya represents "a risk and has a negative impact on the Berlin conference and the internal situation in Libya". This was stated by the head of Egyptian diplomacy Sameh Shoukry in telephone talks with Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and Greek colleague Nikos Dendias. The Facebook page of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry reports.
