Whitney Houston enters the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This was decided by an international jury made up of over a thousand artists. With her also Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious BIG and T-Rex. The admission ceremony will be held in Cleveland Ohio on May 2nd and will be broadcast live by Hbo.
Among the artists who have been nominated, but who will not enter the Hall of Fame, Benatar, Judas Priest, Kraftwerk, Dave Matthews Band, MC5, Motorhead, Rufus and Chaka Khan, Todd Rundgren, Soundgarden and Thin Lizzy.
"We are incredibly honored - Depeche Mode said in a statement - to have been admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and to be alongside other incredible performers in the Rock Hall and those who will join this year.

To enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame you must have released an album at least 25 years before the year in which you are nominated. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a museum located in Cleveland and is dedicated to the memory of some of the most important and influential artists, producers, sound engineers and personalities who influenced the music industry.
