Alpe-d'Huez Festival: triumph of "Divorce Club", by Michaël Youn, and "Mine de rien"

2020-01-18T21:33:59.756Z

The jury for the 23rd edition of the Alpe-d'Huez comedy film festival issued its verdict this Saturday.

With "Tout nous sourit", pure comedy of emotion, by Mélissa Drigeard, who makes a hat-trick, "Divorce Club", by Michaël Youn, pure comedy in short, crowned with the grand prize of the jury and the globes of the press, and "Mine de rien", by Mathias Mlekuz, a pure social comedy acclaimed by the public, the 23rd edition of the Alpe-d'Huez Comedy Film Festival highlighted three genres that are as different as they are complementary.

In his capacity as president of the jury, José Garcia wanted the snowblower to work with mixing: big machines and films by the author. This hybrid engine was the right idea in essence.

No, but what a belief this new meeting! Open Tuesday with the screening, out of competition, of "Lion", by Ludovic Colbeau-Justin, with Dany Boon and Philippe Katerine, the festival ended this Saturday evening with the much awaited "Miss", by Ruben Alvès, price of public in 2013 for "the Golden Cage". This emotional film tells the story of Alex - who prefers in Alexandra - to access the crown. Admittedly, the festival team has never lacked flair to give relief to its programming, but there are certain vintages truly touched by grace and which leave their mark even when the snow has melted.

The spring of cinema looks more than promising

This is the case this year. In view of the films presented, the spring of cinema looks more than promising, and the box office can already rub their hands. “Divorce Club”, for example, with Arnaud Ducret, François-Xavier Demaison, Audrey Fleurot and Caroline Anglade, has everything to claim the pinnacle. "Mine de rien", with Philippe Rebbot, Hélène Vincent and the same Arnaud Ducret, took six years to emerge. It is the nugget of 2020 that will give sacred colors to social news.

In these two diametrically opposed registers, Ducret plays on the one hand a real estate agent left by his wife and realizes there an anthology number, on the other an overwhelming son of a miner. Even if he had to give the interpretation price to Stéphane de Groodt, the actor is now called on to never leave the summits. "He is an extraordinary Stradivarius," said Michaël Youn of him. Mathias Meklus, grandson of a miner, dedicated his prize "to workers' genius and to the entire mining area of Nord-Pas-de-Calais".

Finally, decidedly, everything never stops smiling at Elsa Zylberstein, prize for female interpretation. "What I like in comedies is when we cry and laugh", exclaimed the actress who will play Simone Veil and who is present on screens three times at the moment: "I don't dream of you "," Selfie "and, as of Wednesday," I would like someone to wait for me somewhere ", by Arnaud Viard.

José Garcia can be happy. In a tormented news that he never wanted to forget during this parenthesis, the French comedy of this first semester will look really good.
