While the government is studying the possibility of extending parental leave within the timeframe and involvement of dads, Parliament is also moving towards supporting families for the management of their children. And an open front is that of the possibility, which was discussed a lot even during the last Budget law, of a single allowance for children up to 18 years of age .

Hypothesis that should arrive in 2021 and which, for now, remains a promise. Elena Bonetti, owner of the family, announced the 'Family act', linked to the maneuver, which is being prepared.

Meanwhile, there is a bill on the subject under consideration by the Chamber's Social Affairs Committee , first signed by the group leader Pd Graziano Delrio and signed by a large number of Dem parliamentarians.

The text was filed by the former minister on June 4, 2018. The process then started in July last year and in October a bill from the Italian team leader was combined with the Mariastella Gelmini Chamber which goes in the same direction.

On 13 November, Delrio's bill was adopted by the rapporteur as the basis for the discussion.

After the stop scheduled for the Budget session, the proposal could therefore resume the process shortly with the setting of a deadline for the amendments .

The text aims to reabsorb in a single, simplified tool, all the aid provided, from family deductions to family allowances.
