TV audiences: "César Wagner" is a hit on France 2

The new detective fiction of the Two very largely preceded Arthur and "Friday, everything is allowed" on TF 1.


This Friday, January 17, France 2 broadcast in the evening "César Wagner", a TV movie with a new police hero interpreted by Gil Alma. It gathered 4.9 million viewers in the evening, or 22.8% of the public. Thanks to this success, "César Wagner" could well become a series.

Far behind, Arthur obtained second place on TF 1 with a special program of “Friday, everything is allowed” which brought together 2.9 million aficionados (13.8% audience share). The last time this entertainment had the honors of a broadcast in the first part of the evening, on December 20, 2019, it had attracted 3 million people (14.3% of PDA).

M 6 completes the podium with its American series "NCIS, special investigations". The only new episode of the week gathered 2.6 million fans (11.9% of PDA), slightly less than the previous Friday (2.7 million, 12.3% of PDA).

1.8 million viewers for the Coupe de France

On France 3, the football match of the knockout stages of the Coupe de France between Granville and Marseille (0-3) attracted 1.8 million football fans (8.9% of PDA).

As for the other channels, it is the magazine “Enquêtes de choc” which achieves the best score on W 9. The number devoted to the gendarmes of Brittany brought together 971,000 viewers, or 4.9% of the public.

Earlier in the evening, the France 2 game "Don't forget the words" attracted 3.7 million followers (19.8% of PDA), placing itself in front of the soap opera of TF 1 "Tomorrow belongs to us" ( 3.4 million, 18% of PDA).
