Channel 13's board of directors announced Monday that CEO Yossi Warshawsky has sought to resign. "The decision to terminate his position was made jointly by Warshawsky and the board, in light of professional disagreements between the parties," the official statement said.

Warszewski will remain in office until he is replaced and left after a regular overlap between the two. According to a report in De Marker, the replacement is Avi Ben Tal who resigned as Ynet CEO.

About a year ago, Warszewski was selected by Network 13 owners to be the CEO of the merged channel, leading the consolidation between channels Network and Ten. Earlier, he served as CEO of Channel Ten and saved him from closing.

Chairman of Network Board 13, Nadav Topopolsky: "I would like to thank Yossi for taking on the merger mission and leading the channel and its people in complex change processes at a challenging time. His extensive work for the channel, his commitment and determination are worthy of every appreciation. Yossi is one of the most important media figures in Israel, a true professional, and I wish him much success later on. "

Warshavsky himself said: "I thank the Board of Directors of Network 13 and its shareholders for giving me the merger and management of the merged company. At the end of a year, from the most challenging, interesting and difficult, it is time to move on."
