Children beaten in Islamic school

(ANSA) - MONZA, JANUARY 20 - Two teachers have been subjected to a precautionary measure (one under house arrest, the other under the obligation to sign) on charges of mistreating about a dozen children, students of an Islamic school in Monza, in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating magistrate of Monza. According to what was rebuilt by the carabinieri, the children (between 5 and 10 years old) were beaten, hit with wooden sticks, threatened and closed in a closet with the justification that they had not shown sufficient commitment in the study. "Seracconti something at home I'll kill you", and again, "you know what happens if you complain, you end up in the closet of punishment, in the dark". These are some of the threats that the two teachers of Senegalese origin would have used to intimidate some children.
