(ANSA) - TRIESTE, JANUARY 23 - The entrepreneur Andrea Illy will not submit a self-nomination to the presidency of the Confindustria but seems not to exclude the possibility of entering into play in the next phase of the 'wise' consultations. I heard about it tonight with a statement. "It is necessary to make use of the wider consultation at the level of the councils of all the sectoral and territorial associations, in order to avoid the possible distortions which the self-candidacy procedure is suitable for". In the note Illy explains that, although the 'Strategic Plan for Italy' proposed by him "has found a surprisingly high approval, there do not seem to exist at the moment the operating conditions for its realization". The entrepreneur, underlining "the fragility of Italy" and the "public debt prison", believes that "it would be appropriate to separate the dynamics of the 'Strategic Plan' from the problem of renewing the position of president of Confindustria".
