New surge in influenza cases in Italy, with the epidemic approaching its peak. In the third week of 2020, the Influnet network bulletin of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) surveyed 488 thousand cases which brought the total number of cases, from the beginning of the surveillance, to 2,768,000. In children under five years the incidence has almost doubled compared to the previous week, the regions of central Italy are the most affected.
