Serrone relaunches itself by combining tradition and modernity (ANSA)

To revive an ancient village starting from its traditions to become a residence for authors. This is the objective in Serrone , in the province of Frosinone, of 'IN VINO FABULA Residenza delle Narrazioni ', a project that is the result of the synergy between territory, culture and business. The idea of Luca Calselli , curator, and Rino Bianchi , artistic director, in collaboration with the institutions, the network and citizenship, is to create a new project, capable of combining writing with other narrative disciplines and reaffirm the notion that without culture a territory is weaker. Culture understood as the cornerstone of development and is driving for a new and dynamic social cohesion. The program provides hospitality for each author involved , who will write in his own way about the territory, the landscape, the wine, the work.

"At the basis of the project is the strong idea - explains Bianchi - of the contamination between narrative languages, to reaffirm the principle that culture moves the economy". The goal is to give life to a frequentation of the city and the territory, by artists, men of letters, women and men of culture, who know how to grasp its specificities, peculiarities, the vernacular , the excellence of agri-food products, beauty identity and, tell them to the world. Hosting artists and lovers of letters and the different languages of communication will also mean giving citizens the opportunity to grow, enriching the library with new authors, being able to recognize themselves in a community capable of looking far and flying high.

The mayor of Serrone: "The art to revive the village"
Natale Nucheli talks about the project that led to 'Vino in Fabula'

So far, the project has led to the publication of the book 'In Vino in fabula' , which is a collection of narratives with several voices that sees the wine as protagonist, specifically Cesanese del Piglio, the only red berried DOCG from Lazio. The authors ( Francesca Bellino, Rino Bianchi, Angelo Ferracuti, Emanuele Lelli, Eleonora Mazzoni and Marco Petrella ) invited were hosted for a period in the territory to narrate the genius loci with stories, graphic novels and photography. From the narratives the suggestions coming from the territory, from the people, from the work, that same feeling that Mario Soldati must have experienced when he passed through these places emerge strongly.
