To announce their 45th ceremony, which will take place on February 28, the Césars pay tribute to the legendary actress of the New Wave who died

Anna Karina, graceful and playful, in white gloves, ivory pearls and round hat ... The Césars have just unveiled the poster for their 45th ceremony, which will take place on February 28. It therefore pays tribute to the legendary singer and actress of the New Wave, who disappeared on December 14 at the age of 79.

"Anna Karina was the magnificent incarnation of the woman at the same time libertarian and ingenuous, writes the Academy of César in its press release. This tasty mixture, this incandescent beauty, the evidence of an immense talent for acting, have fueled a number of films by the great directors of the Nouvelle Vague: Rivette, Varda, Visconti, Schlöndorff ... And of course Godard, with whom she toured no less than 7 films. "

The photo chosen for this 45th César ceremony was taken in 1959 by photographer Georges Dambier for Elle magazine, while Anna Karina, 19, began her modeling career. Born in Denmark, Hanne Karin Bayer sings in cabarets, plays in commercials or short films and poses for photographers. It was during her photo shoots for Elle that she met Coco Chanel, who renamed her "Anna Karina".

Two years later, the young woman will marry Jean-Luc Godard. The filmmaker has just directed "À bout de souffle" and will offer his wife and muse roles in "Une femme est une femme", "Vivre sa vie", "Bande à part" and especially "Pierrot le fou".
