(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 24 - "Each of us in our area has the moral and civil duty to counteract daily anti-Semitic hatred and, in general, any other form of god and discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, orientation sexuality and belonging to particular social groups. The duty to react to any form of denialism, including that of those who diminish the scope of racial laws or the role of the fascist regime in the Holocaust ".
The President of the Chamber of Deputies Roberto Fico said this during the "Bartali champion Giusto" event, on the occasion of the Memorial Day.
Recalling Gino Bartali's commitment to save Jews from deportation, Fico said that it is "a wonderful story, a source of inspiration" that can be "proposed to young people as an example".
