A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck the Turkish province of Elazig in eastern Anatolia tonight. This was reported by the Kandilli seismological observatory in Istanbul, according to which the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. Turkish civil protection has sent rescue teams to the field. There is currently no news of any casualties or injuries.
