Thief killed, court acquits host

Mario Cattaneo, the landlord of Casaletto Lodigiano from whose rifle, on March 10, 2017, left a shot that shot Petre Ungureanu, who with accomplices had entered his room to steal, was acquitted by the court of Lodi from the accusation of culpable excess of self-defense. The prosecutor, in his indictment this morning, had asked for a three-year prison sentence. After the acquittal, Cattaneo remained seated in his chair for several minutes.
