Laugh together about our differences. This could be the slogan of the IMA Comedy Club which takes place this weekend at the Institute of the Arab World (Ve). For three days, fifteen humorists will follow one another on stage. Wary Nichen, Wahid Bouzidi, Ayoub Marceau, Nordine Ganso, Observateur Ebène, Laura Domenge and Samia Orosemane will open the ball this Friday. Artists already well established in the middle of the Parisian stand-up and others less known having played in Marrakech, New York or Abidjan, "to make other voices heard", insists Marie Descourtieux, director of cultural actions of the IMA, better known for its exhibitions, concerts and quality debates.
Saturday, it is Paul de Saint-Sernin, Kamel Abdat, Marie Reno, Lenny M'bunga, Nadia Roz, Yassine Hitch and Yacine Belhousse who will rock their best valves. In closing, Sunday, the actor Redouanne Harjane will deliver his show in full. "Laughter is universal," rejoices Nadia Roz, mistress of ceremonies for Saturday evening. Charlie Chaplin has conquered the world without even speaking. In 2020, I think we need lightness. And laughing together at the IMA brings a little lightness to this world of brutes! "

For this third edition of this festival, a novelty: a humor prize will be awarded by a jury of professionals. But the organizers also wanted to play the training card and respond to the growing attraction for stand-up. For the first time, a workshop, "humor for use", is organized to explain to young shoots the inner workings of the profession. A round table called "When the web meets the stage" will also decipher the phenomenon of humor videos on social networks. Meetings targeting a teenage audience, completely free (Saturday at 6 p.m.). "The manual of the perfect humorist," sums up Marie Descourtieux.
