The trial of former Hollywood king Harvey Weinstein, accused of sexual violence against two women , continued in New York with the first dramatic testimony of one of his many victims, the American actress Annabella Sciorra, known in particular for her role in 'The sopranos'. The facts go back too far in time to challenge the crime but prosecutors intend to use his deposition, like that of dozens of other victims, to strengthen the accusation of sexual predator.

The star said she met Weinstein at a party in Los Angeles when she was an emerging actress and he was a young producer. Over the next four years, he received some embarrassing gifts, including a penis-shaped box of chocolates. Then one evening, she said, after a dinner with friends in a restaurant, Weinstein accompanied her home to Manhattan and raped her, between late 1993 and early 1994 .

Sciorra had already entered the house and put on her pajamas when - according to her version - she heard a knock on the door, opened and found the producer who pushed her inside, threw her on the bed and used her violently despite her attempts to oppose with kicks and punches. "I said 'no, no', I couldn't do much against him. My body went out, it was so disgusting that my body started to tremble in an unusual way, it was like I was having a crisis," he said in the courtroom, adding to have lost consciousness. Weeks later, in a restaurant, she confronted Weinstein, who told her that the thing should remain between them.
