On the 51st day of the movement against pension reform, the CGT claimed between 350,000 and 400,000 demonstrators in Paris. Figures revised significantly downward by the Interior Ministry, which counts 239,000 demonstrators across the country and only 31,000 in the capital.
The Parisian procession started a little late around noon, towards the Place de la Concorde. Teachers, nursing staff, railway workers, but also private sector employees (lawyers, employees of Air France, the construction industry, etc.), have beaten the pavement, supervised by a large police force.
While some recognize that the movement has started to falter in recent weeks, others believe that the mobilization today proves the contrary.
