It's go again! Two years after the “Tuche 3” tidal wave (which had attracted 5.7 million spectators, becoming the most watched French film of 2018), Jeff Tuche and his tribe are getting ready to meet again. The shooting of "Tuche 4" should start on February 10 and last until mid-April in the Paris region. And this reunion, which we will discover in theaters on December 9, 2020, promises to be spicy.
"Le Film français" has just revealed the scenario for this fourth installment: after having invaded Monaco, Los Angeles, then the Elysée, the most ramshackle family in Bouzolles, a fictional village from which it comes, will remain on their lands to celebrate Christmas.
When the intrigue begins, Jeff resigned from the presidency of the Republic. As the end of year celebrations approach, Cathy, the matriarch, assures that she dreams of finding her sister Maguy and her husband Jean-Yves, with whom Jeff has been angry with death for ten years. But the reconciliation lunch sees the two brothers-in-law dig up the hatchet that was just buried: while Jeff defends the traditional mail to Santa Claus to ask for gifts, Jean-Yves praises the merits of Magazone, the American trade giant online he works for. The discussion gets out of hand ... and Jeff Tuche will find himself challenging the Internet giant.
The new kids: Michel Blanc and François Berléand
Like that of "Tuche 3", this scenario was co-written by Olivier Baroux (who takes over the controls of the production), Philippe Mechelen, Julien Hervé, Nessim Chikhaoui and Jean-Paul Rouve. And because we don't change a team that turns everything it “kills” into gold, Rouve slips under Jeff's bushy mustache again, accompanied by Isabelle Nanty, Claire Nadeau, Sarah Stern, Pierre Lottin and Théo Fernandez.
Two newcomers join the clan this year: Michel Blanc and François Berléand, whose roles are still unknown. They should be well surrounded since in December, several casting sites had announced that they were looking for actresses from 18 to 40 years of age to play “regional misses”.
It is therefore not this time that Jeff Tuche will integrate the orders. Images broadcast in the rooms at the end of the credits for "Tuche 3" showed the head of the family greeting the crowd at the Vatican window. A false lead ... Or perhaps a clue for the "Tuche 5"?
