Athletes face their deepest fears in Exatlón USA 4

Melanie Sinquimani and Paula Laws have had to face their deepest fears and emotions in a few days in Exatlón United States. Miara here which.

Exatlón The United States is a competition where athletes must face their own limits and fears in order to remain in the fight for the main objective of being champions and winning 200 thousand dollars .

In the Contestants team there are two examples that seem opposed in that regard: Melanie Sienquimani and Paula Laws , who in seven days of competition have had to face emotional difficulties.

And it is that the limits that athletes must overcome are not only physical or mental, also emotions come into play and sometimes they give them very bad experiences both in the circuits and in daily living.

Melanie's case

"Yesterday was a very big test for me and more when I was in Exatlón," Mely said in an interview recalling the blockade he suffered at the Mine when he had to enter the pool to unlock the buoys.

Everything seemed that the bodybuilder would abandon that duel, but he recomposed himself and managed to overcome the emotional block.

"Being on the slide, like everyone else, I felt nervous, but I felt more than others because of having a water phobia," said the athlete.

In the Cabin, Melanie was honest with her teammates and told them the real reasons for their blockade, which some thought was something mental, but emotions sometimes overwhelm the mind.

"It could be more than mental," Sinquimani said. "Well, we are already family and we are in confidence. A few years ago I had a difficult situation . My little sister died drowned in a pool, so the water is for me like ..."

Melanie could not continue speaking, and her companions approached to give her a hug to contain the surge of emotions she was experiencing.

"As they say, God's plans are perfect and it was time to let them, my colleagues, know why I was afraid," Mely concluded.

The Paula case

Another case of emotional blockage is that of the Paula Leyes crossfitera, who on this occasion fainted at the end and lost her second duel of the night.

"I remember that the game was over, I went to dry my clothes and I saw black , I fell to the ground," said the Argentine contender during an interview at the Cabin.

"I felt a little frustrated because I know what I am capable of and not feeling 100% affects me a lot," he confessed, reflecting on his performance at the same time.

And it seems that Paula has suffered physical problems are of emotional origin, rather than another cause. At least, their peers have that hypothesis.

Dennhi Callú spoke with her: "You keep carrying that bag of emotions, that bag of things that will not let you unlock what is making you feel bad."

The Bullet continued to speak head-on with his partner: "Those emotions make you get a knot in the pit of your stomach, that you faint, everything is merely emotional."

In response to the talk with Dennhi, Pau mentioned in an interview: "For the next game I would like to go out as if it were the first day and feel good, feel me, go with everything and be able to add the point."

Can Paula overcome her emotional discomforts, just as Melanie was able to cope with her difficult phobia? History is still written in this fierce competition.
