(ANSA) - BEIJING, JANUARY 28 - Wuhan's new coronavirus has so far caused 106 deaths, including 100 in the province of Hubei alone: these are the latest updates provided by the Chinese authorities, according to which the new cases of contagion recorded have been almost 1,300.
To the 82 victims registered until yesterday, the 24 announced today by the Hubei Health Commission have been added, which bring the budget to the central Chinese province from where the epidemic started at an altitude of 100.
In addition, there were 1,291 new cases ascertained, pushing the total worldwide with the involvement of a dozen countries (most recently also Germany), over 4,000. In Hubei alone there were 2,714 cases, of which 2,567 were treated with hospitalization and 47 in the meantime discharged after the relative treatment.
So far, 30 Chinese cities and provinces have launched the 'level 1' alert on the response to the coronavirus emergency, while Hong Kong has decided on its "highest level" of response to the crisis.
