(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 28 - "Today we have numbers that are less than our forecasts, we will very likely judge 2019 with a lower than expected deficit and our objectives for 2020 will become more easily achievable". Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri said this, referring in particular to the trend in revenue thanks to the fight against tax evasion.
Gualtieri also noted that "following the elections in Emilia-Romagna, with a result that confirms the solidity of the government and the resistance of this offensive nationalist-sovereignist-populist, in two days the spread fell by 20 basis points", noting an estimate of 420 millions of euros of savings in a year. "Only today the auction of the Ctz registered a 0.17 less on the rate, we saved 10 million".
