Tafferugli, this afternoon in Paris, during a firefighting event that left from place de la Republique and headed for place de la Nation. Groups of firefighters protesting against the pension reform, but also against the lack of staff and workloads, clashed several times with the police, who also opposed a dense tear gas throw.
According to the reconstructions, the demonstrators at the head of the procession allegedly forced the police cordon, causing an initial reaction by the agents. Subsequently, the procession was divided into two parts: one stopped at the arrival point, place de la Nation; another headed for the périphérique, the road link around Paris. To prevent this detour, unauthorized by the police headquarters, the police mounted a barrier to block the passage and used hydrants.
Clashes between firefighters and the police also took place last October and the day ended with several injured.
