If you happen to be afraid of flying, you might want to look back, because the following documentation will only increase your trauma. Passengers on S7 flight from Novosibirsk, Russia, to Cam Rene, Vietnam were left shocked just moments before takeoff - one of the engines on the plane sounded an explosion and began to blaze. Passengers remained in the plane as they looked out the window at the burning Airbus A321 engine without being able to exit. Passengers say that they had to wait about 5 minutes for a very tense flight until the crew updated them on the fault and allowed them to get off the plane.
The crew of 208 passengers, including 27 children, operated the fire extinguishing system on the plane while fire fighters were on the scene. Concerned travelers said they heard a blast coming from the engine before it caught fire. The frightening incident happened at midnight at Tolcembo Airport. It was only after the fire went out that passengers were evacuated to another flight.
