(ANSA) - LECCE, JAN 31 - The Lecce Public Prosecutor asked for 10 years and eight months of imprisonment for the former prosecutor Antonio Savasta in the course of the trial with abbreviated rite incurred before the Gup of the Salento Court. Savasta was arrested in January 2019 together with his colleague Michele Nardi with the accusations of association for delinquency, corruption in court cases, false ideology and material. The public prosecutor also requested the sentence of the other former Trani prosecutor Luigi Scimé (4 years and 4 months), the entrepreneur Luigi D'Agostino (4 years), 4 years and 4 months for the lawyer Ruggiero Sfrecola and 2 years and 8 months for the lawyer Giacomo Ragno. The two magistrates (Nardi is an adjudicator with an ordinary rite) are accused of having guaranteed favorable procedural results in various judicial and tax affairs in favor of the entrepreneurs involved in the investigations in exchange for large sums of money and, in some cases, jewelery and diamonds.
