(ANSA) - CESENA, FEBRUARY 1 - From Wednesday there is no news of an Italian boy, Mattia Fiaschini of 24 years old, from Cesenatico, who is missing in Australia on the BlueMountains, a mountain range west of Sydney.
Fiaschini has lived and worked in Sydney for a year, as a barman and waiter, and is considered an expert in hiking with important international climbing behind him. The young man is resident in Cesenatico, where his family lives. According to Australian police, the boy started a journey alone to reach the Blue Mountains last Wednesday and since then there has been no news. The alarm went off when he didn't show up for work on Thursday. Searches have been running for a couple of days. In the area where it is presumed to have been lost there is no cellular reception. The father will leave tomorrow for Sydney to pursue the searches closely.
