In Israel, efforts are being made to prevent the penetration of the Corona virus into the country's borders. As part of efforts to combat the spread of the microbe, the Ministry of Health contacted cellular companies on Monday to send text messages (SMS) explaining, in Hebrew and English, the Office's instructions regarding the Corona virus to all passengers landing in Israel.

The title of the letter issued today by the Ministry of Health to the Director General of the Ministry of Communications, Nathaniel Cohen, is "The New Corona Virus 2019 - Contacting Cellular Companies for Distribution of Messages to Entrants to Israel." The letter is signed by senior officials at the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Health, including MK and Rabbi Jacob. Litzman, Minister of Health, MK Dudi Amsalem, Minister of Communications and Professor Itamar Grotto, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health.

In a letter sent, the request to send the messages from cellular companies is directed only to those entering Israel from the air. "I am appealing to you to contact the cellular companies in order to distribute to all those entering Israel via air messages detailing the latest guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health regarding the new Corona virus 2019," the statement read.

Following the announcement, the Ministry of Health detailed the requested wording to send to all Israelis via aircraft: "Important message from the Ministry of Health: If you have been in China for the last 14 days, you must remain in solitary confinement (by law) for 14 days since leaving China. Heat, coughing and breathing difficulties - Immediately reach MDA position in transit hall. For more information: Ministry of Health * 5400 ".

Following the outbreak of the Corona virus in China, airline passengers arriving from China were banned from entering Israel last weekend. Except that yesterday, two aircraft landing from China were allowed to enter. The reason: These are two planes on which Chinese embassy employees are located in Israel.

In light of the spread of the deadly corona virus, and the announcement by international airlines and various countries about the cessation of flights to China, yesterday (Sunday) the Commissioner for Relations at the Chinese Embassy in Israel convened a day-long special press conference during which he attacked the world's conduct against his country and its residents.

It should be noted that after the press conference, a number of media outlets believed that Yoming intended to criticize Israel's policy towards the Chinese in the face of the Corona's expansion, and to compare it to policies against Jews during the Holocaust. As a result, the Chinese Embassy issued a clarification stating: "We would like to make it clear that the embassy announcement had no intention of comparing the dark days of the Holocaust to the current situation and the efforts being made by Israel to protect its citizens. We would like to apologize if anyone understood our message in a different way. "

The number of people infected with the deadly virus has risen to over 17,000 people. The official quorum is 361, with one death occurring in the Philippines and the rest in China.
