WhatsApp: Support restrictions for Android 2.3.7 and iOS from 02/01/2020

What now comes to WhatsApp users? Users who have iOS 8 or Android Gingerbread on their smartphone can no longer create a new account from 01.02.2020. If you want to verify your existing WhatsApp account, also look into the tube. Furthermore, users cannot use current updates.

WhatsApp: Support ends for Android and iOS - current operating system advisable

For security reasons, it is therefore advisable to buy a smartphone with a current operating system - or, if possible, to update the operating system. Because older operating systems often have weak points, which were only corrected in subsequent operating system updates. By the way, Windows Phones have not been available since December 31, 2019.
