Johana Rojas is a Colombian designer who managed to overcome the hard tests that cancer put on her, and transformed them into inspiration to create an inclusive clothing line that promotes love and fashion.
When he was only six years old, his mother, whose name was Teresa , died from Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a peculiar cancer that is the result of a genetic problem that causes his body to produce cancer cells over and over again.
This disease is hereditary and not only made her lose a large part of her maternal family, but also had to amputate a leg at age 12 to save her life, because she presented an osteosarcoma in her.

However, now, at age 28 and after surviving three cancers, he finally fulfilled his dream of having his own clothing brand, and it reflected the most beautiful love he has ever known in his life: that of his mother.
Although Teresa died when Johana was very young, she inherited a personal diary where she transmitted to her daughter not only her love, but also her advice to cope with the disease and face life.
And over time, this booklet became a personal engine for the Colombian, who called her brand "Teresa essence among threads", and designed clothes that honor her mother, with prints of her face and phrases from her diary.

Something important that Rojas wanted to highlight is that “mother's love does not judge”, so I want to make her line inclusive and create all the unitalla clothes, complemented with belts, in order to adjust it to the figure of each person.
"What most affects women is to change size," said the designer.
Also, the pieces are versatile, so a kimono can also be used as a dress or wear it with jeans, and they are made in neutral colors, which fit all skin types.

Another important detail is that the entire collection is made with natural fibers and dyes, because Johana explained that it is also his way of honoring Mother Earth.
Among all his creations there is a dress that is the most special: a short tent type dress with flocked sleeves that emulates the animal print in trend, but the spots are actually drops and black hearts.

"When my mother wrote in her diary, she did it with a micropunta, and when she cried, she drank the ink, then there are the tears and the hearts and there is the duality of all that love that my mother put in the same place," he explained. Colombian
In addition to her clothing brand, Rojas created a space in Colombia called “Ocre y Arco”, which is a concept store where not only she but also other creatives can exhibit her work and her stories to reach more people.
