Natalie Portman arrived on the red carpet of the 92nd edition of the Oscars held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The actress looked spectacular in a black Dior dress to match a cape that had a hidden message.
The garment worn by the 38-year-old interpreter had the names of eight female directors embroidered that were not nominated this year.
"I wanted to recognize women who were not nominated for their amazing work this year," Portman told a Los Angeles Times journalist as he passed through the red carpet.

Among the names were: Greta Gerwig for "Little Woman", Lulu Wang for "The Farewell", Lorene Scafaria for "Hustlers", Mati Diop , Marielle Heller , Melina Matsoukas , Alma Har'el and Céline Sciamma .
It's not the first time Natalie raises her voice in favor of women. Recall that in the 2018 Golden Globes, when she presented the category to Best Director with Ron Howard , the actress said without smiling: "And here are the male nominees."
