(ANSA) - ROME - For 4 out of 5 Italians, the romantic dinner par excellence is based on fish products. However, the choice of where and what to eat changes according to age. This is what emerges from an investigation by Fedagripesca-Confcooperative on the occasion of Valentine's Day.

For the very young, it goes from the aperitif to the dinner ordered by the smartphone to be consumed at home, perhaps in front of the latest TV series. Triumphs are raw and fried.

No doubt, however, for the 'bigger' couples who prefer the candlelit restaurant, with appetizers, first and second courses in the name of tradition; and therefore sea bass, sea bream, shellfish, grilled or baked. If women are more curious and focus on the tasting menu, men according to the survey, prefer to choose from the menu, being on the safe side.

Space for fish products also for singles, those who do not give up on 'pampering themselves', ready to organize dinners with friends where in 30% of cases there is a seafood dish. And on the day of lovers, Fedagripesca's suggestions for fish that 'are good for the heart' because they are rich in omega 3, are sardines, anchovies, mackerel, tuna, swordfish and needlefish.
