Almost ready for the Eurovision Song Contest: The four songs that were finalized were selected out of the 248 songs submitted, the Judges Committee for the Israeli Song Selection for Eurovision 2020 said.
These are the selected songs:
1. Roots
Lyrics and melody: Nathan Goshen and Seth Gerr
2. Feker libi
Lyrics and melody: Doron Medley and Idan Reichel
3. Savior in the sound
Words and compositions: Oren Emanuel, Talia Londoner, Uri Avni
4. Rakata
Words: Gal Joe Cohen, Eyal Yishai, Cliffy Sound, Eran Kashi
Composer: Gal Joe Cohen, Il Yishai, Cliffy Sound
The judging committee consisted of 6 judges: Roy Dalmadigo, Smadar Shaffer, Tal Argaman, Tali Katz and Yuval Ganor - representatives of the Broadcasting Corporation, and Tamira Jordani and Sivan Young - representatives of the "Teddy" company.
The songs by Eden Elena will be broadcast on Thursday, February 27, 2020.
This year, in contrast to past years, the audience will also be given the opportunity to participate and make a significant impact on the choice of the Israeli song for Eurovision.
In the "Next Song for the Eurovision Song Contest" airing March 3, Eden Elena will perform the four songs that came to an end, and the winning song will be chosen after weighing the results of the professional committee's votes and viewers' votes.
Eden Elena said: "I am very happy about the committee's choices. 4 songs were selected that I really connected with at first hearing, and I am really waiting to start working on them."
